A group of 11 independent CE distributors has announced the formation of Catalyst AV, a new nationwide distribution network. The distributor will operate from 16 locations and serve more than 10,000 integration companies.

The EDGE Distributors Group announced Monday that president Mike Hench and vice president Brett Neiderman will remain in their positions through 2009, but that the board will have some new faces.

The Edge Distributors Group, which consists of 14 independently-owned regional distributors catering to custom install and residential systems integrators, added three lines and announced a change in its metro New York affiliation. Edge named New York Edge, LLC, as its new metro New York member, replacing former member BDC Sales. New York Edge was recently formed by Richard Radimer and Ron Wood, a pair of industry veterans who also own specialty A/V independent sales representative firm ProAct Sales and custom A/V distribution facility Custom Partners, both of which also serve the metro New York area.
