The Fine Sounds Group, the parent company of McIntosh Labs, is being sold as part of a management buyout. Fine Sounds CEO Mauro Grange and McIntosh president Charlie Randall are leading the buyout, with backing from LBO France and Yarpa. 

Italy-based Fine Sounds SpA, parent company of Sonus Faber, Audio Research Corp, Wadia Digital and Sumiko, announced Monday that it has acquired iconic audio brand McIntosh Laboratory.

McIntosh last week announced the debut of a pair of new A/V control center products. These include the MX121 (MSRP: $6,000) and MX151 (MSRP: $12,500).

World Wide Stereo last week hosted a demo event which the company described as an "epic evening" featuring the latest technology integration trends.

McIntosh Labs at International CES announced a new line of cable products which, the company said, "are designed to give McIntosh customers 100% confidence that all of their McIntosh products are operating at peak efficiency, providing the pure and powerful audio experience that defines the brand."
