There was a palpable air of optimism and brightness at HTSA's fall conference in Chicago this week, one that stood in sharp contrast to the Windy City's chilly autumn weather. Dealers and integrators spoke of strong business performance in the first half of the year, which they expect to continue through the holidays.

HiFi House announced Wednesday that co-president and CFO Kenneth Adelberg is retiring from the company after 30 years. Paul Sandquist, in the meantime, has been promoted to Adelberg's former position.

The name of the new Managing Director of Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) will be announced soon, it was disclosed on Oct. 12 during the HTSA “Fall Pump Up” Conference in Denver.

Home Technology Specialists of America elected its new 2011 board late last month, with Bob Gullo of Electronic Design Group named president and Jon Robbins of HiFi House vice president.

HTSA's Fall meeting was held in St Louis Oct 5-7 and started with an upbeat mood. Richard Glikes, executive director of Home Technology Specialists of America (HTSA) said that "July was good, August was down, but in September... bigger houses are being built and our guys have more jobs in the pipeline."
