Immerse your customers in DTS:X audio

With your help, consumers have been enjoying 5.1 surround sound for many years. But now there’s an even more immersive experience you can offer them. DTS:X is a revolution in audio, and the gear and content to make it happen are available now. It’s up to you to wrap it up in a nice package for your customers.
What makes DTS:X so special? It’s completely immersive audio, not only surrounding the listener on all sides horizontally, but also overhead.
In the real world, sound is all around us, moving freely in any direction. We are immersed in this natural, multi-dimensional sound experience as we go about our daily lives. Creating a lifelike audio experience in the cinema or at home has always presented a challenge — there are limits to how a movie soundtrack is mixed, and speaker requirements can be complex.
DTS:X is multi-dimensional, object-based sound. Simply put, DTS:X makes sound move around you like it would in real life. From the big screen to home theaters to the smartphone in your pocket, DTS:X makes sound come alive. DTS:X places sound where it would occur naturally in space, creating a lifelike, multi-dimensional audio experience. The improved immersion and heightened realism makes horror movies scarier, comedies more laugh-out-loud, and car chase scenes even more intense.
Announced in April, DTS:X compatibility is now available in a variety of products from numerous manufacturers. DTS:X-enabled home equipment will be available starting in January from brands representing the majority of the AVR and sound processor market, including the Yamaha YSP-5600 (MSRP $1,699), Denon AVR-7200W ($2,999), AVR-X6200W ($2,199) and AVR-X4200W ($1,499), Marantz SR7010 ($2,199) and SR6010 ($1,399) AVRs and AV8802A ($3,999) and AV7702mkII ($2,199) pre-amplifiers, and Sony STR-ZA5000ES ($2,799).
DTS:X content is becoming available, too. You can demo the technology and tempt your customers with the Blu-ray releases of American Ultra and Ex Machina. And much more native content is on the way. No need to wait for that content, however: Another attractive attribute of DTS:X is that it’s backwards compatible, so your customer’s movie collection gets a new lease on life. With DTS:X, your customer can take his or her favorite Blu-ray, DVD or digital movies to new heights.
In addition, because DTS:X adapts to practically any home theater speaker layout, your customer can experience the freedom to design a home theater the way he or she wants.
DTS:X is the latest and greatest audio technology from DTS. It’s going to revolutionize home entertainment for the better. And it’s ready for you to sell, today!
