 Pioneering the Connected Outdoors

Paradigm’s fully scalable Garden Oasis system includes 4-inch and 6-inch satellite speakers, as well as 10-inch and 12-inch subwoofers. Each satellite speaker can be switched between 8-ohm, 70V, and 100V options. Paradigm’s patent pending Reduced Edge Diffraction (RED) technology enhances dispersion characteristics and performance. Each of the satellite speakers is encased in a completely sealed, waterproof enclosure, which houses premium driver and tweeter components. This enclosure is molded in heavy-duty fade-resistant thermoplastic and tinted to blend with the outdoor environment. A thermoplastic shell and mounting stem allow the speaker to withstand extreme temperatures. Additionally, its high UVB resistance keeps it from cracking over time, making it the best material for a long, trouble-free life out-of-doors. Each satellite speaker includes an off-season cap for extra protection from the elements. The system also includes unique 10-inch and 12-inch underground subwoofers. With only a chimney port visible once installed, this part of the system also blends seamlessly with its surroundings. The enclosure is constructed of high-density polyethylene, the same material used for underground septic tanks and water systems. This enclosure has been successfully tested underwater and in environments ranging from -20°F to 150°F. The woofer’s low-heat design is vented through the chimney, providing a constant flow of fresh air while protecting the system from harsh weather and water. The flared chimney port system, combined with a polypropylene cone woofer, with a high-excursion surround and a high-intensity magnet structure, produces deep, musical bass without chuffing or extraneous vibration.

Equipped with a long-throw, down-firing 7-inch subwoofer and four 3-inch full-range drivers, the Soundcast VG7 embodies a full-range, loudspeaker system in one unit. The indoor and outdoor audio EQ modes allow for a totally customizable listening experience in a variety of settings, and a rechargeable battery powers long playback. The VG7 features four discretely enclosed speakers for immersive 360-degree sound for any environment. Usable as a solo unit, the VG7 also has Soundcast’s standard Auto Bluetooth pairing configuration that enables two VG7 units to seamlessly connect and unite for an even more immersive sound coverage.

Leon Speakers collaborated with New York integrator Home Theater of Long Island to customize its Boundary Series outdoor speakers for a luxury pool house installation. The system was designed to seamlessly blend into the environment, built with custom dimensions and angled baffles to perfectly and stealthily fit into the eaves of the pool house. Unlike a lot of outdoor audio options on the market, says Leon, Boundary outdoor speakers aren’t made of plastic—they're handcrafted in the USA from solid aluminum and feature marine-grade drivers and a robust UV and saltwater finish to withstand the elements while providing premium sound. Boundary comes in two models and a variety of finishes, including custom hydro-dipped options to match virtually any outdoor environment.

To ensure that the audio was felt and heard in retired NFL Green Bay Packers Hall-of-Famer Nick Collins' new smart home, Millennium Systems Design installed multiple SpeakerCraft Ruckus 6 One rock speakers that blend into the landscape. Integrating with a whole-home ELAN system, the speakers look subtle but they don’t sound subtle.

SunBriteTV recently announced the addition of a 75-inch TV to its Veranda Series, complementing its existing 43-, 55- and 65-inch models. All-season and weatherproof, like all of SunBriteTV’s offerings, the Veranda Series comes standard with a premium direct-lit 4K UHD screen, and is up to 30 percent brighter than typical indoor TVs. The TVs are designed for permanent outdoor installation in full-shade environments such as a covered patio or screened gazebo. Internal temperature regulation systems keep a SunBriteTV operating from -24 degrees to 104 degrees Fahrenheit (-24 to 122 degrees on Signature Series models which are designed for partial sun exposure and -40 to 122 degrees on the full-sun Pro Series). SunBriteTV’s all-weather sets can handle the mildest to harshest conditions – rain, snow, freezing cold, extreme heat, insects, dust, salt corrosion and even barbecue grease. The Veranda Series TVs, available in black, include a media bay to house popular streaming devices such as Roku and Apple TV, support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 to ensure compatibility with 4K sources and streaming services, and are equipped with four HDMI inputs and one USB input for a variety of connectivity options.
