Emotiva Audio, which is doing an about-face in transitioning manufacturing back to The States and in commencing sales for the first time in its 11-year history through dealer channels, has launched the first two models in an anticipated four-model line of digital-to-analog converters.

At the recent HTSA Fall Conference in Chicago, we had the opportunity to sit down with Martin Plaehn, the chief executive officer of Control4. IMAX is planning a move into the home. The corporation responsible for larger-than-life movie theater technology has announced a joint venture with TCL to "o design, develop and manufacture a premium home theatre system," the companies announced Tuesday.

Several months ago, Peerless-AV received a call from the White House (yes, that White House). Aides there had been alerted to the company’s activities in bringing all offshore production back from China to the U.S., and wanted details on what was involved. The fact that Peerless-AV is on the White House’s “reshoring” radar is a clear sign that it’s at the very forefront of the movement.
