Yamaha RX-V381 AV receiver has expanded 4K compatibility
Yamaha has announced its RX-V381 5.1-channel AV receiver with built-in Bluetooth for wireless music playback and full 4K Ultra HD support.
This entry-level model is the first in the company’s RX-V 81 Series AV receiver line. The AV receiver, with full 4K Ultra HD support, is HDCP 2.2 compliant (4 in/1 out) and features high dynamic range (HDR) with BT.2020 compatibility.
The RX-V381 includes 5-channel surround sound capability, offering HD Audio format decoding, including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio.
“Sound editors and soundtrack composers each play huge roles in today’s feature films, and the RX-V381 allows our customers to enjoy these titles as they would in the movie theater, in all their cinematic glory,” Bob Goedken, general manager, AV division, Yamaha Corporation of America, said in a statement.
“Yamaha has packed a lot of advanced technology into a very affordable, solidly-built AV receiver, with an unparalleled level of reliability that assures our customers that they will enjoy this model far into the future.”
RX-V381 includes 4K UltraHD video pass-through via HDMI 2.0 4K/60p 4:4:4 (4 inputs/1 output) for watching content in this super high-resolution format. It also features Bluetooth with Compressed Music Enhancer, which enables easy wireless music playback with superb sound quality. The AV receiver also features the Yamaha YPAO automatic calibration system, which uses a microphone to listen and analyze and tune the sound of each speaker.
