Voices From Digital Downtown
The Digital Downtown event, presented by CEA, North American Publishing Co., and Martin Porter and Associates, took place last week in New York City. Here are some of the exhibitors’ impressions of the event:
Hagen Denton, Lutron: “We have had a lot of traffic. So many people have heard of lighting control systems and now at Digital Downtown the consumer can actually have a hands on experience. The comment I’ve heard the most after people play with the touchpads and see the lighting and drapery control is, ‘How Do I Get One!!!’”
Andy Regan, Monster: “It’s been great to see such a wide variety of consumers coming through. People love the sound quality and styling of the Monster Beats by Dr. Dre headphones. The response has been off the hook!”
Walter Schofield, Meridian President: “We’ve had a lot of high-net worth indiviuals come through the Meridan booth. We’ve meet many of our target audience and are very happy. About 30-35 percent of the people coming through know the quality of the Meridian brand. I know we’ll sell systems because of being at Digital Downtown.”
