Vizio Launches New 3DTVs
Vizio Wednesday announced the release of a 3D line of its XVT3SV Series of HDTVs. The new TVs are part of a new "3D Home Theater Ecosystem" from Vizio that also includes 3D glasses and Blu-ray players featuring Vizio Internet Apps, as well as new Wireless Internet Routers and High-Speed HDMI Cables.
The TVs, including 42-, 47- and 55-inch models, are available online immediately from Amazon, Sam's Club and Target as well as Vizio's web site. They will reach stores later this month, with even wider availability coming next month.
Vizio's new TVs work with active-shutter glasses, sold separately.
The 42", 47" and 55" TVs will retail for $1,399, $1,799 and $2,399, respectively. The new VBR333 and VBR334 3D Blu-ray Players will both appear in November, both an MSRP of $189.99.
The company has also released a Dual Band Wireless Internet Router ($99.99) and high-speed HDMI cables ($59.99.)
Vizio also announced that a new TV commercial, featuring pop superstar Beyonce, will debut concurrently with the new products.
