Newsome to Speak at Women in CE Breakfast
Vizio co-founder Laynie Newsome has signed on as a speaker for a breakfast event to be hosted at CEDIA Expo by the Women in CE organization. The event will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, in Room #C205 at the Georgia Congress Convention Center.
“Ms. Newsome is a dynamic example of the women in leadership positions within our industry and our organization is proud to present her insights and observations at our first official CEDIA EXPO event”, Carol Campbell, founder of Women in CE and publisher of CustomRetailer magazine, said in a statement.
“The breakfast is a reflection of our goals to mix education and networking providing women the career development support they so richly deserve. The event is intended to inspire active participation from our industry veterans and promote a supportive community to inspire young people to share their talent and passion for an industry that welcomes their contributions," she continued.
Women in CE is an organization launched this year to provide networking and support opportunities for women in the industry.
Newsome, who cofounded Vizio in 2002, was selected as part of Dealerscope's 40 Under 40 earlier this month.
Tickets can be purchased to the event for $25. For more information, visit www.womenince.org
