Utz Baldwin Named CEO of CEDIA
CEDIA announced Monday that it has named Utz Baldwin to fill the newly created position of CEO. The founder of Houston-based AD Systems, Baldwin will step down as chairman of CEDIA’s board of directors to assume the new position, in which he will serve as the organization’s primary spokesperson.
CEDIA had announced in April that it planned to name a CEO, and Baldwin was chosen from among 42 applicants.
“After multiple in-depth interviews, Utz was the undeniable best candidate for the CEO position,” CEDIA vice chairman Ken Erdmann said as part of the announcement. “He has an extensive knowledge of all CEDIA initiatives and over the past five years has worked tirelessly on establishing relationships with industry partners to better CEDIA members’ presence within the design-build community.”
