URC adds slew of new two-way Total Control modules
URC today added six two-way modules for its Total Control automation and control system.
The modules (each module is followed by a screenshot of the interface):
Bose SoundTouch Wireless Music System module. Said the company, "Home automation through URC gives customers another simple way to access and enjoy Bose audio throughout their home."
Philips HUE lighting system module. According to URC, Total Control users can now set the hue, brightness and separation, and create groups for bulbs so they can be controlled as a group for specific areas in the home. The Total Control interface controls light power, color and brightness.
Honeywell Total Connect Comfort Thermostat module. This allows full control of any Honeywell thermostat via IP. It can monitor and adjust temperatures, humidity, operating mode, fan mode and hold mode. Users can configure macros.
CoolMasterNet module. CoolMasterNet is a bridge that integrates Total Control with various HVAC systems. "Users can easily change thermostat modes, fan modes and louver positions," said the company. "It also allows two-way commands of temperature, setpoints, fans, and much more."
Tekmar module. Controls thermostats and setpoint control devices connected to a Tekmar tN4 Gateway 482. Installers can set macros.
Hunter Douglas PowerView module. For programming shades.
Just in case you need a refresher on what a two-module is: According to URC, it "describes a driver that provides feedback to the controlling device to display, for example, room temperature, audio volume, lighting level, etc."
