Tripp Lite introduces line of HDBaseT extenders
Power protection and connectivity vendor Tripp Lite has unveiled a new line of HDBaseT extenders, which transmit uncompressed HDMI audio and video, RS-232 serial and IR control signals over long distances via a single Cat5e/6/6a cable. Tripp Lite says the products will help installers control costs and simplify installations.
Installers can extend signal range and increase the number of displays by inserting up to five HDBaseT transceivers between the transmitter and receiver, enabling the installer to add a monitor at each transceiver and extend signals up to 2,000 feet at UHD 4K resolution (up to 3840 x 2160, 24 Hz or 30 Hz), and up to 3,000 feet at 1080p resolution.
The plug-and-play products support DTS-HD, Dolby TrueHD and 7.1-channel surround sound audio, are compatible with EDID, HDCP and 3D, and are TAA-compliant.
