Tom DeVesto launches third Boston-based audio company, Como Audio
Hall of Fame member and 40-year veteran in the consumer electronics industry, Tom DeVesto, announced the launch of Como Audio in Boston, Massachusetts. This is the third Boston-based audio company founded by DeVesto. His first was Cambridge SoundWorks and his second, Tivoli Audio, was sold last year.
"It has always been my mission and passion to bring to market the highest quality consumer electronics products that reflect what consumers are looking for in outstanding design and sound quality. With my newest venture Como Audio in which the consumer will find audio products considered to be best in their class and of the highest performance," DeVesto, CEO and Founder of Como Audio, said in a statement.
Prior to forming Como Audio, DeVesto was the Founder, CEO and Chief Designer of Tivoli Audio, which he founded in 2000. According to DeVesto, Tivoli Audio was created to bring audio products designed to deliver high fidelity performance in a unique range of colors and furniture grade woods.
DeVesto was also the Co-Founder, President, CEO and Head of R and D of Cambridge SoundWorks, a company he started in 1988 with Henry Kloss, an Audio Hall of Fame member. At Cambridge SoundWorks, he utilized factory-direct selling via website (hifi.com).
DeVesto has also held various positions with Kloss Video Corporation and Advent Corporation. Prior to that he started and ran several retail operations selling audio products. He currently serves on the Board of Overseers of WGHB radio in Boston, MA and on the Board of Directors of WMVY radio on Martha's Vineyard.
