THIEL Audio on Comeback Trail, With New CEO
THIEL Audio, which appeared dormant in recent months, is back with a "brand revitalization" plan and new chief executive. A new set of speakers is set to debut in 2015.
John Wittman is the company's new CEO, with Paul Fisher named Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Company veterans Lana Ruth and Rob Gillum are also still on board. The company will remain based in Nashville.
“Our objective at THIEL first and foremost is to be a fresh and imaginative company, engineering and manufacturing premium products that represent outstanding craftsmanship as well as the highest levels of performance,” Wittman said in a statement.
“Our future is dependent on balancing THIEL’s 37 year history without constraining innovation in order to dynamically meet the changing needs of our consumers."
Following the passing of founder Jim Thiel, the company was purchased by a private equity firm in late 2012. The company last unveiled products at CES in January.
