Women in CE Launches Membership Drive
The Women in Consumer Electronics organization announced Wednesday that it has launched a new membership drive, in order to offer new benefits and networking opportunities to its members.
The group, which launched last year, is offering paid memberships, costing $125, $187 and $250 in dues, respectively, for one-, two- and three-year memberships. Membership benefits include access to the Women in CE forums and member directory, a member discount to Women in CE events, and participation in the group's many networking opportunities. Coming soon are a Women in CE job bank, scholarship opportunities and newsletters and webinars.
"With the success of our first live events in 2009/2010 and current members’ requests, we have identified what the renowned authors of ‘Built to Last’, Jim Collins and Jerry Porras, would call our BHAGs (Big Hairy Audacious Goals),” Carol Campbell, the organization's founder and the publisher of CustomRetailer magazine, said as part of the announcement.
“Every step we take now is toward the creation of an Annual Professional Leadership Conference Program and a host of additional member benefits that are designed to aid in the advancement of the careers of women in our industry,” she said.
