The IBS show held in Las Vegas in January attracted builders and renovators looking for innovative technology as a point of differentiation. CEDIA and many brands in our channel took full advantage of the opportunity to share their message of how technology speaks to homeowners. The energy-saving message is particularly strong as it resonates with consumers looking to save money and reduce their consumption of energy. Whole-house integration, focused on efficient installation and ease of use for the customer, was a key selling point.
Integrated Systems Europe, which took place February 3-5 at the Rai Centre in Amsterdam, boasted many successes this year, including attendance. Nearly 25,000 attended the show—a 12-percent increase over last year. It also drew 564 exhibitors. See page 30 for more coverage of this event.
