The HTSA Spring Conference: Reporter's Notebook
HTSA finished up its annual spring conference on Tuesday and it was an eventful one, especially with the announcement Tuesday of the buying group's strategic alliance with Nationwide Marketing Group. A few other notes from three days in Nashville:
- We got the impression that 4K video is really beginning to break through, with more than dealer saying that the vast majority of their customers are requesting 4K video.
- Not only did multiple dealers say that customers are asking for turntables, but Thorens, a maker of the devices, exhibited as an HTSA vendor for the first time.
- The VIA International consortium is eying expansion, including a move "eastword," although no specific cities were mentioned.
- Netsertive is rolling out "dynamic homepages," with major brand partnerships soon to be announced as well.
