The Finest Brands' Thompson Has Died
Robert Thompson, CE industry veteran and founder of The Finest Brands, has passed away at the age of 55.
Thompson, an Oklahoma native and graduate of Delmar College in Texas, was a veteran of Blumenhofer Acoustics North America and WSR Sales, before founding The Finest Brands last year.
Thompson's published obituary described him as " truly a wonderful, positive man. He was self-motivated, a hard worker, selfless, and ALWAYS happy. Robert was family-oriented and all he did, he did for his family. He was an entrepreneur, operating his own businesses in various industries throughout his lifetime."
The Finest Brands will continue under the leadership of Thompson's son Warren Thompson, along with company president Mike Barry, Thompson's friend Barrie McCorkle said in an email to industry associates.
Thompson's funeral was held on Friday in Orlando. In lieu of flowers, according to the obituary, donations are to be directed to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children, or to the family for defraying of medical expenses.
