TCL Debuts New Roku TVs
TCL announced Wednesday the launch of its two latest series of Roku TV models, the 3800 & 3850 TCL Roku TVs. The two are described as 'higher-end models."
The 3800 series consists of 32-, 40- and 50-inch models, both 1080p and priced (respectively) at $229, $339 and $479.
Meanwhile, the 3850 series includes TVs in the 32-, 40-, 50- and 55-inch sizes, priced at $249, $359, $529 and $699, while adding a metallic gunmetal finish.
"When we launched the TCL Roku TV last year we described it as ‘the TV designed for the way consumers use TV today’ because it puts streaming content in the forefront instead of as an afterthought," Chris Larson, Vice President, TCL North America, said as part of the announcement.
"That shift in consumer behavior has only accelerated since the launch – streaming continues to grow in popularity, cord cutting is a growing trend, and consumers with cable are demanding smaller channel packages and supplementing them with streaming. The availability of the TCL Roku TV 3800 and 3850 series helps us keep up with consumer demand and provides a range of sizes and styles for people to choose from.”
The models will all arrive in the first half of this year.
