SurgeX Shows IP Addressable Surge Protection at CEDIA Expo
SurgeX was at CEDIA Expo introducing the Axess line of IP addressable surge protection products to the residential market, and even went as far as blowing up electronics to prove that their products work.
Units start with box-level management, with log-in, turn on and off functionality, and can be programmed to reboot. Two rack mount versions can be grouped in a sequence and can measure usage.
The flagship model, the Axess Elite can measure down to the individual outlet. Users can define triggers that will set off email notifications, and devices can be remotely rebooted, saving costly visits.
SurgeX also made residential power products XF2-AR FlatPak and XS10-AR, Axess Ready. When any of the SurgeX Axess Ready products are interfaced with the Cervella Remote Monitoring System, the whole network of connected Axess devices can be viewed in a single interface.
At CEDIA, SurgeX showed off a new user interface which makes it easy to open any device on the network. With access through the secure Axess device management system, integrators get better security than with cloud systems. Cervella also makes it easy to manage users and acount access levels, making it a great solution for dealers with a large geographical area.
