SupplyStream Unveils New Product Search Tech
Today SupplyStream is rolling out a newly redesigned iteration of the catalog for its web-based platform at www.mysupplystream.com, which aggregates CE products and suppliers into a single website for use by industry dealers.
This new catalog offers a cleaner design and, according to the company, “drastically improved” search capabilities. The update will go live for dealers today.
New features of the updated technology include:
• Dealers can now customize their unique catalogs by entering any combination of product attributes
• Improved filters, and larger screen sizes
• Search results are now displayed in real-time as users type, and on a single page, so there is no need to browse by category.
• A new home page educates dealers on SupplyStream’s features, and provides instructions on how it functions.
Also, SupplyStream-approved software partners will be able to utilize a newly developed API (application programming interface), enabling streaming by dealers of their custom catalogs and pricing using third-party applications.
“Our latest catalog improvements reflect the feedback we received from dealers after more than a year of their engagement with our platform” stated SupplyStream Founder & CEO Kirk Chisholm. “We found that the most important thing to dealers is a great search tool, so we threw away our existing search technology and rebuilt it from the ground up. An entire industry of products is now searchable from a single search box that rivals even the best e-commerce websites.”
Announcing the revamp of the platform at a recent press conference in Nashville, Tenn., SupplyStream V.P. Business Development/Dealer Relations Josh Willits said the subscription-based service will cost dealers $29 a month.
