SunBriteTV is shipping several models in its now-HDR-endowed and re-engineered Veranda series of outdoor TVs. Currently, 43-, 55-, and 65-inch screen sizes are available and the brand is about to add a 75-inch HDR model in this quarter, according to the company.
The Veranda HDR series also newly features installer-friendly appointments such as complete IP control and, besides featuring a built-in amplifier in each screen size, provides expanded audio options that simplify audio upgrade capability, including plug-and-play compatibility for the company’s outdoor soundbars. The sets’ design also benefits from thinner bezels and a smooth, metallic-black finish, says SunBrite.
Like the original Veranda series, the new line is weatherproof, and included with each screen is a weatherproof media bay to house streaming devices and support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP2.2, for compatibility with 4K content sources.
The models use premium direct-lit 4K UHD screens and are designed for permanent outdoor installation in full-shade areas.
The addition of HDR provides an improvement in contrast and color accuracy. With a brighter 400-nit screen, Veranda is now up to 50 percent brighter than many indoor televisions, and 30 percent brighter than its predecessor, said the company.
In addition to performance improvements, the new Veranda also has a new sleeker, more contemporary look, with thinner bezels across all screen sizes and a smooth metallic-black finish.
“The original Veranda was all about bringing professional AV integrators the right product for full-shade outdoor installs at a price their customers find compelling. The new Veranda maintains that focus, while improving outdoor performance,” said Mike Jordan, vice president of Audio and Video for Sunbrite parent SnapAV.
