Stewart Filmscreen introduces Harmony acoustically transparent woven screen material
Stewart Filmscreen has introduced Harmony, its acoustically transparent woven screen material. Stewart Filmscreen is an Academy Award winning manufacturer of projection screens and projection screen materials.
Harmony screen material is a white screen surface that can be specified up to 114-inch (2.895 meters) image height, which supports a 273.5-inch (6.947 meters) image width when presented in a 2.4:1 native aspect ratio.
Harmony has a 0.8 gain screen material option that offers an 85-degree half gain angle. It has no minimum throw distance requirement. Its acoustically transparent weave pattern is so fine it has only a 1 dB impact to the high frequency response above 10 kHz.
Harmony is packaged with a black acoustically transparent back screen to eliminate interference from reflected light passing through the screen material. The black back screen has a minimal impact on the high frequency response- up to 2 dB.
Harmony is available now for specification in Stewart’s classic AT1.5 fixed frame wall screen as well as the VistaScope Jumbo system.
Stewart will release Harmony for inclusion in its flagship Director’s Choice four-way variable masking system later this spring.
Harmony premiered at ISE 2016 as part of a 16-foot (4.875 meters) wide VistaScope Jumbo variable masking system that served as the centerpiece of a multi-brand 21-channel Dolby Atmos-enhanced dedicated theater showcase.
