Steinway Lyngdorf, in partnership with Steinway & Sons, introduced its latest product, the Model P200 surround sound processor.
Steinway said the Model P200 is equipped with advanced technologies that have come to be expected from the company, including RoomPerfect and fully digital signal processing. The Model P200 is capable of handling up to 256 output channels and offers full support of 3D surround formats Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and AURO-3D, Steinway explained. Further, the Model P200 offers full support for advanced HDMI switching, 4K and 3D video, and HDCP 2.2.
“With RoomPerfect you are guaranteed market-leading sound without compromise to performance or interior design,” Steinway Lyngdorf explained in a statement. “The Model P200 delivers a perfect surround sound experience equally well to living rooms, media rooms, and home theaters, with virtually no need to design the room acoustics around the sound system.”
Other features include multiple control options through RS232, remote web interfaces, IP-control, and Ihiji; integration with Steinway Lyngdorf’s amplifiers and speakers; and an energy efficient design that uses “significantly less power and generates less heat than a traditional analog setup,” Steinway explained.
The Steinway Lyngdorf Model P200 will begin shipping at the end of October.
