Stampede Adds Vice President of Product Management and Operations
Stampede, a distributor of home theater projectors and displays, appointed Jeff Willis to the newly created position of vice president, product management and operations.
Willis, a 20-year veteran of wholesale distribution, most recently served as vice president, category management for technology products, at United Stationers Supply and its $1.7 billion technology products division, Azerty, where he oversaw supplier strategies, operational efficiencies, category marketing strategies and the company’s private brand.
Willis’ new responsibilities include “increasing Stampede’s operational efficiencies, increasing and enhancing the number of its vendor marketing programs, growing the number of manufacturers Stampede serves, and increasing the number of product categories the company offers,” said Stampede.
“Jeff brings a wealth of distribution knowledge and expertise to Stampede,” said Stampede President and COO Kevin Kelly. “We want Stampede to be better in every way possible, and I know Jeff will create operational efficiencies and customer service improvements that will help us achieve our goal.”
Both Willis and Kelly are past-presidents of the board of directors of Computers for Children, a non-profit co-founded by Kelly in 1997.
