Sony Electronics has announced the expansion of hours and staffing at its Integration Support Hotline. Due to growth at Sony’s Custom Install division, Sony will be extending the hours of operation of its Integration Support Hotline, and will be adding another agent to reduce call wait times. These changes went into effect as of Sept. 1, 2015.
Sony’s Integration Support Hotline (866-924-7669) is exclusively for custom integrators and is staffed with CEDIA-certified technicians ble to assist in the configuring Sony products for integration and troubleshooting product and system issues.
The hotline supplements Sony’s other support resources for the Custom Installation channel, including a nationwide network of 15 rep firms that can provide local support, Sony field technical sales managers and a team that works on ensuring Sony product compatibility with major control companies’ protocols.
The hotline’s hours of operation will be increased from 7 a.m.-4 p.m. PST to 6 a.m.-5 p.m. PST, enabling Sony to offer coverage from 9 a.m. To 5 p.m. in all time zones of the continental U.S., and additional coverage during peak hours.
The hotline is also adding a U.S.-based agent, Eric Lippert. Eric is based in Fort Myers, Fla., and has over 18 years of experience providing technical support for Sony products. “Eric has won several internal Sony awards for excellence in customer support, and is looking forward to working with the channel,” Sony said in a statement.
