Integrators Speak Out!
Technology Integrator: How has this last year been for you?
Shawn Hansson, CEO, Logic Integration, Lone Tree, Colo.: This past year has been extremely positive for our company. We grew 43 percent in 2012 and expect to grow another 20 to 30 percent in 2013. Because of this increase, we have been able to expand staff and facilities.
Chris Brody, President, Crescendo Designs, Southampton, N.Y.: Last year was our best year in our 10-year history. Throughout the recession, we fared pretty well, which I believe is because we’re in a very affluent area.
Scott Fuelling, President, Phoenix Unequaled Home Entertainment, Memphis, Tenn.:
This year has been crazy! We have seen sales grow and have been focusing on the customer experience through implementation of new, proprietary operational software we developed in-house. We went completely paperless in the field in November. All of our team now use iPads for scheduling, work orders, service tickets, project management and project information access. Our service team now has access to previous work histories and customer data. This has made for a very busy time.
Jason Beatty, Vice President, Cyber Sound and Security, Scottsdale, Ariz.: This last year has been excellent for Cyber Sound as we continue to grow, implement new processes, innovate in marketing strategies, and watch our market slowly improve.
Greg Simmons, Vice President, Eagle Sentry, Las Vegas, Nev.: The advantage is that the housing collapse is somewhat behind us. The standing inventory that was preventing new construction has been bought up by investment groups that are very interested in the rental market, and a normal appreciation of value in those homes. What’s happening is people are now building again. In our Las Vegas market, we’re seeing a nice spike in construction, and that’s giving us the capability of pre-wiring and building a proper infrastructure for today’s newest technologies.
