CEDIA View: CEDIA: In-Person & Online
Having worked with CEDIA over the last few years, I'm always reminded that CEDIA is more than EXPO. Many times, I've heard people say they are on their way to CEDIA. What they mean is they are on their way to CEDIA EXPO! As project manager of CEDIA's Survival of the Fittest, I've been writing each month about the great learning opportunities this FREE Webinar series provides to CEDIA members.
Now it's time to head off to Atlanta, to enjoy the CEDIA EXPO experience. Some might be new attendees, some might be regulars, but anyone who attends this year will be part of a greater experience. Not withstanding all the parties, EXPO is an enormous educational opportunity.
For the Atlanta-Bound
New this year is the CEO Summit at EXPO. Building on the themes of our March Survival of the Fittest Webinar, "Leadership Failure" and our April Webinar, "One Page Strategic Plan," CEDIA is offering a summit for business owners and operators on Sunday, September 13.
Whether you have attended these Webinars or not, consider participating in this new and unique session to learn how to leverage employee leadership to maximize productivity. The new business environment requires different leadership competencies to out-perform the competition. Participants will learn why some owners and managers succeed and others fail, in addition to understanding leadership assessment tools that analyze peoples' skills, such as managing change, problem solving, innovation and stress management. Industry experts and career consultants will provide insight into the role leadership has in the survivability of any company.
This is not the only class offered on Sunday. Make the most of your stay in Atlanta by participating in any of the Sunday sessions, and enjoy a free lunch while you are at it. All those who participate in Sunday education at EXPO will receive a free lunch and a shuttle ride to the airport. Check out the CEDIA EXPO 2009 registration brochure to see all the learning opportunities available, or download your copy of the registration brochure at www.cedia.org/expo.
