Sharp Names New U.S. CEO
Sharp Electronics Corp. announced Thursday that it has named Toshiyuki Osawa the new CEO of the U.S. subsidiary. Osawa replaces Kozo Takahashi, who has been reassigned.
Osawa, a 27-year company veteran, most recently ran Sharp's China operation.
"I am very pleased to be back at Sharp Electronics Corporation, at such an exciting time for the company," Osawa said in a statement.
"Mr. Takahashi's strong guidance and leadership has positioned the company for success. As the U.S. economy continues to strengthen, I hope to use my experience to enhance sustainable growth as well as use Sharp’s unique strengths in LCD and solar cell production to help grow the brand and contribute to future successes."
