Schlage’s Zigbee-Certified Connect Smart Deadbolt is Amazon Key-Compatible
With the introduction of the new Zigbee-certified Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt, Schlage and Amazon have officially teamed up in that the lock is available as part of the Amazon Key Smart Lock Kit, according to Schlage.
The integration of Zigbee protocol into the Schlage Connect allows customers to lock their door while away from home via the Amazon Key app when paired to the Amazon Cloud Cam. Customers can receive real-time notifications, live streams, and recorded clips to control and monitor guest access and optional in-home delivery without having to be present. The model can also be managed through the Amazon Alexa app when synched to an Amazon Echo Plus or Echo Show.
The Schlage Connect Touchscreen Deadbolt is a multi-function lock offering keyless control and customizable, secure access codes. Features include one-touch locking functionality, a fingerprint-resistant touchscreen that ensures access code numbers won’t wear off and become detectable after repeated use, a slim exterior plate that doesn’t interfere with storm doors and an anti-pick shield that protects the lock against tampering. The Schlage Connect holds up to 30 unique codes that can be scheduled for specific days and times of the week, allowing the convenience of being able to easily track movements in and out of the home.
The Zigbee-certified Schlage Connect Smart Deadbolt is available for $199 as a standalone lock or as part of an Amazon Key Smart Lock Kit, which includes an Amazon Cloud Cam, for $269.
