Savant Rolls Out New DMX LED Lighting Strips for Integrators
Smart home manufacturer Savant has announced a wide array of new professional integrator-quality architectural lighting strips that will be compatible with the company’s TrueImage lighting user experience. Available now in kits that start as low as $300, the lighting strip solution gives integrators another tool in their expanding lighting arsenal as the category continues to evolve and offer pro installers real business benefits.
“Savant continues to focus on innovative product solutions that exceed the capabilities of what is currently available on the market,” Savant CEO Robert Madonna said in a statement. “The new LED lighting strip product line, representing a valuable opportunity for integration specialists, brings the color selecting simplicity of TrueImage and Savant Scenes to more areas of the home than ever before."
The TrueImage technology from Savant gives the homeowner unprecedented control over the lighting experience in a given room. In addition to the traditional on/off/dim control of lighting by touching an image of a fixture in a room, TrueImage provides users a WRGB color wheel that allows them to completely customize the white temperature selection right from the Savant Pro App. Adding this technology to the new Savant pro-grade LED strips brings that experience to more parts of the home.
With the lighting strips, integrators now have the ability to give their clients new and unique lighting experiences in the home by providing lighting options for different areas in the home—in corners, on steps, behind TVs, and more. And the tunable white LED strip allows for color temperature adjustments, including changing automatically in concert with Circadian Rhythm—an increasingly popular lighting feature—throughout the day.
The WRGB light strip provides all of the same features as the tunable white strip with the added benefit of being able to bring in millions of color choices on top of the various levels of white light. And there’s also an RGB Neon strop that allows for direct viewing accents that are similar to neon signs in that the individual LEDs are not visible, making the strip appear as a solid line of color.
The strips are available in 16- and 32-foot lengths. All are field cuttable and are available with pro-grade mounting options and various couplers and jumpers to allow the integrator to custom fit the strips anywhere the lighting designer or client wants. They all include a low-voltage DMX controller that allows up to 32 strips to be wired to a single controller.
