Sanus Unveils New Line
Sanus Systems kicked off the year by highlighting a number of new products at CES, including lightweight professional mounts, which are also suited for consumers; its first floor-standing wall mount; and in-wall power and cable management solutions.
The new HDpro series is made from lightweight aluminum, as opposed to an all-steel construction, which makes it easier for one person to install.
"These are about 60 percent lighter," said Ryan Hagberg, Sanus's marketing manager. "Now one man can hold the plate and drill it, making it a one-man job. This also makes it easier for consumers to install."
The HDpro line also features FollowThru cable management system, which uses the whole arm of the mount for a clean install; ProSet height and level adjustments; and Virtual Axis tilting technology for adjusting viewing angles.
The Pro series line includes the XF228 for 42-inch to 63-inch sets, and the LF228 for 37-inch to 58-inch sets. The series also includes the VF5023 and VF5022 three-shelf wall-mounted furniture, as well as the ELM205 power conditioner. That unit is less than 1.4-inches in depth and, with the QuickFit system, is designed to fit snugly on the mount behind the T.V.
Most of the products in the Pro series are due to ship this quarter and will not be sold on the Internet.
Sanus also introduced the VisionMount XF228 full-motion wall mounts for extra-large TVs and the LF228 for large sets. Both feature ProSet and FollowThru features. They are available this quarter.
As part of the VisionMount series, Sanus will release the VMA201 Soundbar Speaker Mount in the second quarter. Constructed of extruded aluminum and heavy-gauge steel, the mount attaches directly to the VisionMount LL22, LT25, LMT15 and MMS18 wall mounts without requiring additional wall mount. The units support most soundbars and center channel speakers weighing up to 35 pounds.
