CEDIA Expo 2018: Samsung 5-Star Solutions Program Tops Offerings
The wide berth of Samsung offerings makes it a staple for any tradeshow. Between taking over the entire Citycube section of Berlin's consumer electronics show IFA, holding the biggest keynotes at Las Vegas-based CES, and a handful of pop-up meetings for their smart products - it must feel nearly impossible for the tech giant to always have a big surprise for a tradeshow.
But have no fear, they still brought the heat at CEDIA 2018 even if their biggest product is an intangible benefit to the dealer.
Seriously, Samsung's 5-Star Solutions runs circles around The Wall, The Frame, and their long-list of commercial, gaming, soundbar, and outdoor solutions. And that's not a knock on those products - we've been praising The Frame since day one - it shows just how strong their program is.
Rounding the corner on the second year for Samsung's program that offers a CI-dedicated web portal with more functionality and content, partnerships with leading home automation companies, and expanded sales and distribution support. New this year, installers now have the option to become a Samsung Authorized Service Provider to service clients directly without involving a third-party servicer. Samsung has also has created a new role that’s dedicated exclusively to focusing on the needs of the CI channel will launch a customer newsletter that complements the 5-Star Solutions program at CEDIA.
“When we launched Samsung 5-Star Solutions last year, our goal was to ensure that custom installers have easier access to the product, information and support they require,” said Phil Cohn, Senior Vice President of Sales at SamsungElectronics America. “This year’s program enhancements, not to mention new products like the Q900FN 8K TV, further demonstrate our investment in our installers, by equipping them with the appropriate programs and distribution channels they need to make every job a success.”
And talking with Samsung representatives, it sounds like the program is seriously resonating. Not only is Samsung already a consumer staple, their list of over 4,500 integrators in the program their host of offerings including white papers, install tips, and a budding community of peers is a recipe for success.
The Samsung 5-Star Solutions program is more than just a promise to dealers that the company will keep working with them, it is a pace-setting exegesis that proves big manufacturers understand the strength of this channel and know that the high-tide raises all ships.
