Samsung 8K TVs Showcased at ‘Big Game’ Video and Audio Center L.A. Event
Taking event marketing to the next level with an eye to creating evangelists for 8K technology, Southern California-based consumer electronics retailer Video and Audio Center hosted a viewing on 8K TVs of last Sunday’s championship football game between the Los Angeles Rams and the New England Patriots at the Bel Air Crest Center.

Several hundred attendees, by invitation of Video and Audio Center Co-owner Joseph Akhtarzad, were treated to food, drink, and hors d’oeuvres as they watched the play-by-play action unfold on several Samsung 85-inch 8K TVs, which showed 4K content upscaled to accommodate the capabilities of this newest display technology.
“Many guests commented that the Samsung 8K was so clear that it was like being right on the field with the players,” Tom Campbell, chief technologist and corporate director, said. “What an event – it was one of our best ever.”
