Reelex anti-counterfeit campaign proves effective; four new licensees signed
Reelex, licensor of a proprietary figure-8 cable wind/special payout mouth technology employed in some wire & cable brands' bulk wire cartons, earlier this year began an anti-counterfeit campaign to combat knock-offs in the marketplace. Reelex claims that its technology makes pre-wire jobs go more smoothly by preventing kinking, snagging, box damage and more, but that many installers were getting frustrated with unauthorized versions of the technology.
Due in part to the anti-counterfeit campaign's success, Reelex has signed four new licensees this year: Zhaolong (Zhejiang Zhaolong Cable), ZTC (Zhangjiagang Twentsche Cable), Sandmartin Electronic and The Siemon Company.
Licensees agree to use REELEX packaging technology via specialty coiling equipment designed and manufactured by REELEX Packaging Solutions. They also must print the REELEX trademark on genuine packages containing REELEX technology.
