QMotion’s Shades Excel in Safety Standards for Window Covering Safety Month
As the Window Covering Safety Council leads the annual effort about window covering safety month in October, QMotion proudly continues to excel in safety standards. All of QMotion’s motorized roller shades, honeycomb shades and motorized drapery rods are cord free.
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, one child dies every month by strangling in a window covering cord. The CPSC recommends the use of cordless window coverings in homes with young children and pets.
QMotion’s extensive selection of automated shades provides families a safe alternative for window coverings. With numerous styles of fabrics for light filtering, decorative and even room darkening blackout materials, QMotion products enhance any space with exquisite style and design options providing varying degrees of privacy, view-through, glare control and degrees of heat gain for energy savings. In addition, QMotion motorized shades are ultra quiet when operating, ideal for rooms where silence is golden.
Earlier this year, QMotion announced its Qadvanced and Qfree products have been certified by the Window Covering Manufacturers Association’s Best for Kids Program. The new Best for Kids Program requires products to meet stringent criteria and to be recognized by third-party testing laboratories. Only products that have no cords or inner cords that are not accessible or hazardous are eligible for the certification program.
In addition to the motorized shades, QMotion offers more basic shades through their Qfree product collection. These manual shades are safe and elegant and coordinate perfectly with the automated models. The Qfree collection is especially noted for its chainless manual operation that delivers a smooth and easy lift with less pull force than other clutch-type manual shades.
