Proficient Audio has major dealer-focused product and brand announcements slated for CEDIA Expo
Proficient Audio, part of Core Brands, previewed a number of the major product and brand announcements that the company will be making at the 2015 CEDIA Expo in Dallas later this week. Among the announcements: new Proficient Signature architectural speakers and a revamp of its existing Proficient Protégé speaker line.
According to the company, the Proficient Signature portfolio of 10 architectural speakers will build on the success of the company’s Signature high-gloss black cabinet loudspeakers and subwoofers. The line will focus on flagship ceiling, in-wall, and outdoor speakers, which it said will provide installing dealers an effective way to “upsell Proficient by focusing more attention on its position at the top end of the brand.”
The Signature series is a “major step up” in performance over the Protégé line and uses a “striking new industrial design,” Proficient explained. The new Signature line will use a combination of Kevlar woofers and aluminum-dome tweeters, along with the thin-bezel design of the Proficient line.
“One of the best things to come out of this upgrade path is that it is the first brand segmentation in our 15 year history,” Keith Marshall, founder of Proficient Audio and senior vice president of Core Brands, said in a statement. “Now dealers can easily explain to their customers that if they want the very best that Proficient has to offer, it’s Proficient Signature.”
On top of the high-gloss cabinet line of Proficient Signature loudspeakers will be five home theater loudspeakers, including the 10” three-way ceiling speaker, an 8” and a 6.5” LCR ceiling speaker, and a 6.5” and 5.25” dual-woofer in-wall LCR speaker, and an 8” three-way outdoor speaker.
The new line of Proficient Signature architectural speakers will be on display in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas during the 2015 CEDIA Expo. Stop by booth #4128 for more information and to see the Signature speakers in action.
