Petra Makes $60,000 Donation
Petra Industries announced Tuesday that its recent charity golf tournament raised $60,000, which the company has donated to the Mercy Ministries of America and Whiz Kids.
The 12th annual tournament included 120 participants, including Petra employees, partners and vendors and also included a cocktail reception, poker tournament and concluding luncheon.
"Our charity golf tournament has always been a big event that's very close to our hearts," Petra president and CEO Bill Stewart said as part of the announcement. "We have amazing support and generosity from our vendors and business partners. This event gets bigger and better each time, and we feel fortunate that we are able to support these two worthy causes year after year."
Mercy Ministries is a voluntary Christian residential program located in four different cities. Whiz Kids is a tutoring/mentoring program for children in the Oklahoma City area. Each charity received $30,00 from Petra.
