Onkyo took the opportunity of CE Week 2015, held June 23-25 in New York City, to not only herald their new offerings of audio hardware—but also their portal for the content to play on that gear.
The company demonstrated its new RZ line of A/V receivers, which includes the TX-RZ900 and TX-RZ800 7.2 channel network receivers. Both offer Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, AirPlay and Bluetooth connectivity, Wi-Fi, and built-in support for Spotify Connect and Pandora.
Both receivers are 4K Ultra HD-ready, THX Select 2-certified and HDCP 2.2-compliant.
The RZ800 has a $1,299 MSRP, while the RZ900 (which “bumps up” the power) has an MSRP of $1,599.
Onkyo also promoted its new onkyomusic download service, which the company said has over 1 million 16- and 24-bit hi-resolution audio tracks available for download in FLAC format.
