OmniMount recently launched the MotionPicture Series Power40 motorized wall mount, and is pushing it with some unique promotional tactics, aimed at attracting early adopters.
The company has announced a promotional deal with Netflix, in which any customer purchasing the Power40 will also receive a free 3-month
subscription to Netflix. The Netflix lasts now through June 30. Alex Robertson, OmniMount's senior vice president of marketing and sales, said in the product's announcement that “we are really energized about offering consumers a reward for investing in their media room.”
Another strategy by OmniMount to enlarge its demographic of customers for the product is to generate Internet buzz. The company has posted a
mock-commercial about the Power40 on YouTube.
Titled “Donkey at a House Party,” the video features actual OmniMount employees rapping about their new Power40 and the benefits of the product in their own lives. OmniMount hopes to appeal to those up and coming buyers who want the latest technology to start up or update their home entertainment systems. (See the full video below.)
The mount features an easy remote control, extremely quiet functioning, and a variety of tilting, panning, and swiveling motions to reduce glare and control TV positioning without needing to leave the couch.
