Home and commercial lift system manufacturer Nexus 21 announced on Monday that it is restructuring its warranty system, a move that will be retroactive on every Nexus 21 lift system the company has ever sold. The company is doubling its standard five-year comprehensive warranty to 10 years. An official announcement will be made at the 2015 CEDIA Expo in Dallas next week.
“We’re doing this because we can,” Nexus 21 president Cory Lovett said in a statement. “We have tens of thousands of lift systems in the field, deployed in every manner imaginable … and virtually every one of them is still functioning today. No one can touch our track record.”
The terms of the warranty will stay the same, Lovett explained. The only change is that the length of the coverage will expand from five years to 10. Excluding outside events, he said, the warranty provides full replacement at no cost, with no proration, and replacement units ship freight free and without delay of waiting for the original system to be returned.
For systems already installed, the 10-year warranty is dated from the day the system originally shipped, Nexus 21 said. For example, a system installed six years ago now has four years remaining on its warranty coverage.
“Our mission at Nexus is to provide the world with the most reliable lift products ever made, along with luxury-‐grade customer service.” said Mr. Lovett. “This warranty extension, unparalleled in the industry, is a reflection of that mission.”
Nexus 21 will make the announcement from its booth (#6229) in the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas. The 2015 CEDIA Expo runs from October 14-17.
