Canadian home control solutions provider NavNet has entered the U.S. market with a scalable system it says requires virtually no programming.
“Get in, get out & get paid” is the slogan the company is using to promote its design philosophy for its whole-home solution encompassing A/V, home security and surveillance. Its controller includes many built-in features including Internet radio, Sirius XM and Netflix reception capability, for instant functionality, said Warren Press, director of sales. NavNet also enables the homeowner to control lighting, HVAC, monitor electricity usage and perform all the traditional A/V control functions.
The basic system consists of a home automation controller and an HD video streamer, with the company recommending an in-wall touchscreen on each floor of the home. The system is also controllable via iPad, iPhone and Adroid devices without loss of functionality, said the company.
The company offers an online training program to let installers self-train at their own pace.
More information on the system is available in the September CEDIA Expo edition of CustomRetailer.
