More Voices From Digital Downtown
Dean Hutto, Director of Key Accounts, Sirius Satellite Radio:
“Day One attendance was very good. We did pretty quickly learn that we had to engage people to get them to come over to the booth, and several of them thanked us for doing that. There seemed to be a lot of higher-end professionals and even some tourists. Of course, we got a lot of questions about the merger from those who have XM or Sirius! But we also got a lot of positive subscriber comments. I’d say we’d probably repeat our appearance here next year.”
Craig Spinner, Director of Marketing, Savant:
“We got to expose Savant to a lot of end users who aren’t familiar with the technology and we could help funnel them to local-area integrators. Our Rosie cocktail table control surface was a popular attraction. Some people seemed to have been exposed to it through YouTube online videos.
Mark Aling, Marketing Director, Paradigm (they didn’t exhibit but he gave his impressions, nevertheless):
“If the whole idea is to introduce our industry to consumers, the this is an ideal way to do it. Based on what I’ve seen, we’d probably be involved next year.”
