Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America announced earlier this month the launch of a new campaign to help consumers become carbon-neutral. The campaign, launched on Facebook and also meant to promote the company's LaserVue TV is called The LaserVue Carbon Neutral Facebook
Mitsubishi has agreed to donate one dollar per person who signs up for the group on Facebook or Twitter towards the purchase of carbon offsets from the Bonneville Environmental Foundation.
“Through the LaserVue Carbon Neutral Facebook campaign, MDEA hopes to prepare consumers with the information and resources necessary to make a difference in the environment and recognize the importance of purchasing carbon offsets,” Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's vice president of marketing, Frank DeMartin, said as part of the announcement. “We are honored to work with the Bonneville Environmental Foundation, an organization devoted to engaging people in solving the environment’s most pressing issues.”
