Missouri's Stereo One to Close Home Entertainment Division
Longtime retailer and HTSA member Stereo One will soon close its home entertainment and custom integration divisions, founder John Selby told local newspaper the Southeast Missourian this week.
The store, located in Cape Girardeau, Mo., will remain in business on the car audio and service repair sides.
The company's website announced an "everything must go" sale, promising "YOU WILL NEVER SEE THIS QUALITY AND QUANTITY OF “BEST IN CLASS” AUDIO & VIDEO GEAR IN ONE LOCATION IN THIS AREA AGAIN!"
The store, which opened in 1974, was the first in the region to sell various categories, from the Sony and Pioneer brands to VCRs and video rentals, the newspaper said.
