Meridian Launches Design and Specification Service, Streamlines Planning Phase
The path from meeting with a client and bringing a vision to life can sometimes be the most exhaustive part of the planning process. So many puzzle pieces need to come together before the project can continue, and that means nailing every aspect of the heating, lighting, networking, security, and, of course, the audio/video solutions.
And leave it to a company like Meridian to figure out a way to start off-loading some of that work to make their dealers lives easier. The Meridian Design and Specification Service is a way to not only tangibly show the benefits of a well-designed room, they can remove the friction of expanding a budget to offer more performance.
“We created the Design and Specification Service to support our integrators when designing cinemas or distributed audio systems for their clients” comments Barry Sheldrick, Director of Sales, Meridian Audio. “This service makes it quicker and easier for them to select and specify the best products for the job, freeing up valuable time to concentrate on other aspects of the installation. With over 40 years of audio experience, integrators can reply on Meridian and our design service to deliver high-resolution, high-performance systems around their client’s home.”
To begin the proposal process, integrators simply need to provide Meridian with a plan of the room, house, or room dimensions, and email it to Meridian’s dedicated Design and Specification Service team. Meridian’s experts will then provide CEDIA-approved designs and drawings of the proposed system layout within 48 hours, which includes precise room layout and loudspeaker positioning diagrams, detailed wiring diagrams, and comprehensive product information. In most cases, proposals include three Meridian system options, providing a project price spread tailored to the client’s budget.
“We make it very easy for the client to understand that by spending more money, they’ll receive more performance, so we create a pack that shows standard, performance, and reference systems. Each of these packages will deliver high-quality, but the difference is, the greater the spend, the greater the immersion, the greater the fidelity, and the greater the enjoyment. We’ve found that by creating these systems, our integrators have been able to explain to their client more eloquently what the additional spend will give them” comments Barry.
As well as focusing on Meridian’s audio solutions, the Design and Specification Service also integrates other products as part of the system. If an integrator or their client has a preferred projector or screen they would like to use, this can also be included as part of the service.
The Meridian Design and Specification Service is a great way to show that every detail of the project is thought out from a design, engineering, and aesthetic standpoint” comments Jason Bellanti, VP and General Manager of Spire Integrated Systems. “The report that is presented separates us from the competition and gives the client piece of mind that a high-performance solution is being installed, and nothing will be an after-thought."
