Liberty Wire & Cable Opens Chicago-Area Warehouse
Vendor Liberty Wire & Cable opened a new warehouse facility in Carol Stream, Ill., to provide better service to commercial and residential integrators in the Chicago area and the Great Lakes region.
Liberty’s management team is “focusing on several additional warehouse facilities it plans to open by the end of 2007,” said the company.
The new Carol Stream warehouse, west of Chicago, has more than 1,000 pallet spaces, said Liberty, and will allow the company to improve order fulfillment of its more than 6,000 wire and cable products, as well as reduce shipping costs to customers in the Great Lakes region. The site also will provide will-call service to customers in its “immediate area,” said the company.
Liberty said demand for its products has increased “by over 30 percent in each of the past four years,” and that new warehouse openings will better position it for “further growth.”
Liberty Wire & Cable, based in Colorado Springs, Colo., is a division of Communications Supply Corp. It currently operates other facilities in Charlotte, N.C., and Phoenix.
