LG preserves largest U.S. front-load washing machine market share for ninth consecutive year
LG Electronics is the number one front-load washing machine brand in the U.S. market for the ninth consecutive year, according to 2015 data from market research firm, The Stevenson Company.
The data shows that LG front-load washing machines comprised more than 25 percent of all washers sold during 2015 in major U.S. retail stores including Best Buy, Home Depot and Lowe's, more than any other brand.
The LG TWIN Wash, 6 Motion Direct Drive and TurboWash technologies have helped advance LG's nationwide market share. The LG TWIN Wash, introduced in 2015, includes a mini-pedestal washer that allows users to run two separate loads of laundry at the same time.
"We have gone to great lengths in continuing to lead innovation front-load washers, and this distinction as the number-one brand in this category for nine years in a row is a testament to that commitment," William Cho, president and CEO of LG Electronics USA, said in a statement. "We intend to continue our momentum in 2016 by listening to the needs of consumers and by constantly innovating."
The newest LG TWIN Wash system will debut later this year. It has a 5.6-cubic-foot capacity front-load washer, a new design and black stainless steel finish.
