LG introduces signature line of products, more OLED TVs
The products that earn the Signature name are "pure and sophisticated, true to each product's essence," said the company.
SKUs in the line include a new HDR-enabled OLED 4K TV, a more advanced TWIN Wash washing machine, an enhanced version of LG's Door-in-Door refrigerator, and a hybrid air purifier, with more to follow.
The TV, called simply the LG Signature OLED TV, at 2.57 millimeters thickness calls to mind a sheet of glass, or as LG stated, four stacked credit cards. It also has an audiophile sound system built-in, with the speakers built into the stand. It has received the Ultra HD Premium seal of recognition from the UHD Alliance (UHDA), "signifying that it meets the most demanding performance standards for resolution, HDR (high dynamic range), peak luminance, black levels, wide color gamut and immersive audio, among other criteria," said the company.
The LG Signature fridge introduces a feature called Knock-On that makes the opaque Door-in-Door compartment transparent with a little knock from the user. Thus, users can see inside the fridge without opening the door and wasting energy. The interior of the refrigerator is composed of cold air-retaining stainless steel. Also impressive is an Auto-Door feature that automatically opens the door when a non-infant human approaches the refrigerator.
The LG Signature washing machine is a 24-inch front-loader that features a secondary SideKick pedestal washer under the main unit, allowing users to do two separate loads of laundry simultaneously. It also sports a new suspension system that reduces tub vibrations and noise levels, as well as a touch-enabled interface embedded in the glass door at a 17-degree angle for easy viewing. Like the fridge, it features a Push-Open door.
